The Risk-o-Mat will provide the user with a web based overview of her or his risk position. It will help small and medium sized businesses to valuate their risks, and manage them, either preventive or reactive.
Risk-o-Mat is a Ruby-on-Rails based Solution, for the graphical part the RMagick library is used, for development we back it up with ImageMagick. You will be able to add risks, sort them, valuate them, add users, assign responsibilities to them. You will have valuations, I'll hope we will even have some very sophisticated ones, and you will have reports.
The first aim is to do german MaRisk compliant risk reporting, SOX is not important yet.
Risk-o-Mat will be a low end solution for a start, providing smaller enterprises with a good tool. The difference with existing low-end solutions I know is that it is web based, allowing multiple users to work with it, and even allowing some external consultant to work with you on- and offsite.
